I felt that the one entry that told the best story, had the best mood for the colors, made the best cameos, and overall was the best entry was Soulrailer's entry.

Out of all the stories his did not focus mainly on just his characters which is actually how stories should be told. Given that even with a title called Naruto the focus of the story doesn't always stay fixed on Naruto. as they pan from group to group.

He did a pretty good job showing the reaper death seal

He also displayed the most cameos of characters ranging from summoning the frog, to the cast of characters from the show, to the tournament characters. I especially liked how he incorporated Yunni's characters into the story and how that played out, very deep ending to those characters and nicely done.

He also set the best mood for the scene with his colors. Giving a warm calm awakening scene into a fired up attack scene of the 9 tailed fox attacking the village.

Ryds:

Your colors I would have to say were my second choice. You gave off this great ghostly spiritual sad tone that Seirei was seeing, and the lighting was really cool. Your story was also a cool one to, you did the best job with the seal and it was really touching how at the end both characters were dead and together again, as well along with the hokage. And by the way you have a great style!

Saphire Luna:

Your story was drawn out well and I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but did you by chance decide to go with a mood that perhaps you might have seen from the anime where they showed the 9 tailed fox in the forest? It was was definitely done well but it came off more like an attack on the forest and not really an attack on the village. Plus it seemed like the only one's left was your character and the hokage, it made it feel a bit empty. It was definitely a nice sentiment at the end of the story where he sees Naruto grown up. Overall you were consistent with your work, and it was cool that you made every page colored. But I think you still need to work more on the believability of you story work. There was a lot left out and even though you were trying to focus on only your character that kinda creates a small view for the reader to see your story. Show the big picture and try not to stay focus on one character when you have so many to work with.

JethAE:

One of the coolest lineart pieces, you really did a great job with all the ninja techniques and feeling out each character's character in your story. Though I have to say I did feel that your colors were rushed given what has come before. You did an interesting way of sealing but perhaps a bit rushed at the end there, only showing snippets of this and that to wrap it all up, showing a picutre of Naruto doesn't really illustrate that the fox is being sealed within him (only fans of the show would get that). But the way that you ended it there on a "pain" note was pretty classical bump bump bump music. :]

Now even still there are some things that I think should have been placed in which I did not see from anyone.

What about Madara? The one controlling the fox?

What about the 4th hokage's wife?

Also something which only Ryds took into consideration was that after a Reaper Death seal is preformed, there really isn't anytime for talk and last minute wishes. Any and all promises that the 4th hokage would have asked for would have been made before his final attack.

Once again great job, and finally this brings the tournament to a close.

I'll have to learn from this tournament and be sure to make the next contest that I hold much shorter.

Awesome!!!! thanks a lot for the nice words Dan and thanks for the amazing tournament,
it has literally taken up all my spare time the past year and I definitely feel that I have evolved a lot over the year (the same holds for the other contestants for sure!)
I love how everybody has remained true to his own unique style!

It was really cool to get to know the Naruto world since I only started to know it in the end of last year! but now Ive watched the anime and am following the manga It is definitely my fav manga now (after DBZ ...)

hmm it does feel kinda empty now though ... what to do without the Naruto tournament ...

Hey guys, I forgot to tell but I received the 1st price (Xbox360) a couple of weeks ago. Had some major problems trying to adapt the voltage to the european voltage (never realised that this was going to be a problem). However now I got me a nice step-down convertor and finished the story mode of the Naruto game.
It's lovely how you can wonder through Konoha

Im eager to see a next one, maybe about some events that happened during the naruto story? or between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden ...
